A Nice Weekend

April 26th - April 28th:

We had a nice weekend, with a little work and a little play.  On Friday morning, everyone was ready early than normal, so I took advantage of the extra time and snapped a picture of Nick and Audrianna heading to work and school.

Friday evening was full of working getting the truck ready to sell on Craig's List.  We have had some interested but unfortunately the truck is still ours.

On Saturday morning, we headed out to Caldwell to watch Brittney and Colten play soccer.  The weather was absolutely perfect and it was only 10:00 am!  Brittney did really well and even scored a goal!  Nick was testing out our new video camera and got it all on camera.  It was super exciting!

After, Brittney's game we headed over to Colten's practice and watched him run around!

We all head to lunch at Port of Subs and then out to Kuna for Audrianna's softball game.  Audrianna played catcher and outfield.  She did a lot better hitting and got on base every time she was up to bat.  Colten was more interested in playing on my phone and eating candy than watching. 

After our fun filled sports day, we decided to keep it mellow Saturday evening and watch a 3D movie.  We watched Megamind and enjoyed popcorn and ice cream!  Sunday was pretty mellow, we did a little bit of chores and showing the truck but then spent the afternoon playing video games.  On the way to take Audrianna to Kuna, we stopped by my rental house and Nick turned on the sprinklers, we only had to replace one head this year.  We had a few more people stop by and look at the truck, but no takers yet.  All in all it was just a good weekend.

Pregnancy! (28 to 29 weeks)

April 26th:

Between last week and this week, I feel like my belly has grown more out than round.  I just keep wondering how much bigger can my belly get?  I can start to realize and see that by week 40, I might be a touch uncomfortable.  I can notice this when I bend over.  In fact, I am sure glad that flip flop season is here because putting on shoes and socks is a bit challenging.  I am still trying to go on walks as much as possible, and can still make it up the big dirt hill by my house.  I know I keep saying it but each week I can feel him move more than the week before.  It seems like he is moving constantly, but I enjoy every minute of it!  Most of the time, I feel him on my right side . . . I think he has found his "sweet spot."  Every once in a while, I will feel him do what I think is a flip or somersault, but then he will quickly kick my right side.  I find myself day dreaming about what will he look like or what type of baby he will be?  Nick and I still talk and can't believe that we are actually going to have a baby in a few short months.  Now, we just need a name!

Bike Ride to the Park

April 25th:

We took advantage of the beautiful evening and rode to Gerber Park, off Hill Road.  Nick and Audrianna rode there bikes while I pulled the pregnancy card and got to ride the motorized scooter.  It was actually my first time riding the scooter and I had a blast.  I felt super silly at first but quickly didn't care, because the scooter is really fun to cruise around on!  Audrianna found a friend on the play ground while Nick and I talked.  We didn't have much time at the park before it was time to head home.  Audrianna was a little concerned when she realized that she had to ride her bike back up a very steep hill.  She ended up doing great and only needing to stop once.  I look up the distance afterwords and the route we took is 2.0 miles from our house.  I am really proud of Audrianna for running her bike without much complaining!

1st Mongoose Game!

April 24th:

We played our first Mongoose game and won!  I am actually just the score keeper this year but still consider myself part of the team.  It was a beautiful, warm but not too hot evening for playing softball.  Nick did great at third base and scored every time he was up to bat.  Afterwards, some of us headed to the Dutch Goose for dinner and, of course for some more beer.  It was a great way to start off our season, lets just hop we can keep it up!

Rodney Atkins Concert

April 20th:

Once again, Nick scored some concert tickets.  This time it was to see country artist Rodney Atkins.  Years ago, I went with Kristen to his concert, but it was before I was a country fan and to be honest, I probably spent the whole concert drinking.  It was nice to go with my honey and actually remember the whole show!  In fact, being pregnant it wasn't booze but we shared a soda and some candy.  The two guys that opened for the concert were actually pretty good and we both enjoyed them.  Rodney is a little older than I remembered but put on a really good concert.  He sings a song about a Dad and his son that made my sensitive husband tear up . . . it was pretty cute!  It was a mellow evening but awesome to share it with Nick!

Softball or Cheerleading?

April 18th:

Yes, another night of softball!  This time the game was at the Simplot fields which were just as windy and cold as Kuna.  And, yes it was a night full of constant cheering from Audrianna, maybe it keeps her warm!  Our team did happen to lose but I think the other girls had a home field advantage.   Home plate was raised on a little hill which really threw off our girls making it almost impossible for them to hit the ball.  

Very Windy 3rd Softball Game

April 16th:

Tonight was the coldest and most windy night yet!  I am really proud of all the girls out there playing without complaining!  There hands had to be freezing.  Audrianna keeps improving but I do think she enjoys making up cheers for her team and yelling them as loud as she can, more than playing.  Tonight was fun because Audrianna play against her best friend, Talia.

Birds of Prey

March 13th:

We had another fun afternoon hanging out with Granddad Davis.  We started by going to the Olive Garden for lunch, it was delicious!  Then we headed out the the Birds of Prey.  On our drive there Audrianna taught Granddad Davis how to play the "slug bug" game in the car (Nick won, like always).  We had been to the Birds of Prey once before, but it was Granddad's first time.  We started by look at the birds in the outside displays.

It was pretty windy and cold, so we moved inside.  First, we enjoyed a very informative talk from one of the volunteers and then Audrianna enjoyed seeing how big her wing span would be compared to the birds that were painted on the walls.

We made our way to the live bird show, were we learned all about the American Kestrel.

Next, we headed into the kids room, were we had fun dressing up! Going to the Birds of Prey was a good way to spend our  afternoon!

27 Weeks, 3rd Trimester!

April 12th:

Wow, I can't believe I am in my third trimester!  This pregnancy seems to be flying!  I am still feeling really good and do not have many complaints.  I get up a few times at night to use the bathroom and occasionally have heartburn.  This little boy is starting to move around more and more!  I love it every time he kicks!  The coolest thing is that within a few minutes of me laying down, he will start to kick and let me know he is not sleeping yet.  I mainly lay with my left side down and he always kicks in the same spot.  I am constantly grabbing Nick's hand and placing on my belly.  Nick's face will light up each time our little guy gives a big kick back!

27 weeks

Audrianna's Hair Cut!

March 12th:

Audrianna got her hair cut!  It's amazing how just a new cut makes her look so much older.  She is growing up so fast!

Audrianna's 2nd Softball Game

March 11th:

That's right, another softball game.  The weather was a little better but still cold and windy.  Audrianna played short-stop, first base, and center field.  I think first base is a position where she could really shine in the future if she keeps playing.  She had a little stronger hit this game and was super excited because she made it all the way home and scored for her team!

Audrianna's Paris Room

April 10th:

We started the transformation of Audrianna's room in November and it's finally done!  She now has a queen bed, white furniture, and some new decor.  She wanted some Paris stuff, so thanks to Hobby Lobby she now has Paris all over her room!  She was so excited and happy to see her room completed.  Here are the before and after pictures.

Audrianna's 1st Softball Game

April 9th:

Audrianna played in her first softball game tonight!  She started out by playing catcher and did a great job.  It was fun to watch both teams get the hang of playing an actual game.  There were some silly mishaps, for example, Audrianna hit the ball and then hustled to first base.  She was called safe and then tried to run off the field like she was done.  Luckily, the other team was just as confused, so she was able to stay on first and keep running around the bases.  Our camera died after taking this first picture, but there are nine more games, so I am sure we will have time to take plenty more.  We are in for a fun season of softball!  

Garage Work Day

April 7th:

It was a pretty rainy and wet this weekend, so we took advantage and decided to try to organize the garage a little more.  Nick put plywood in the attic and we were able to move all the holiday bins, along with the odds and ends.  Next, we assembled an our overhead rack that we purchased back in November.   It will give us a ton more storage!  Here are the before and after pictures.

Pregnancy! (22 to 26 weeks)

April 5th:

Let's be honest, I didn't do a very good job keeping up with this post, so now I am currently 29 weeks and trying to rack my brain to remember what I felt like weeks ago.  It's crazy to say but I don't remember!  I am going to do a much better job during these next 11 weeks.  But here are my belly bump pictures!
