Pregnancy! (30 to 34 Weeks)

May 30th:

I know I keep saying it but each week he moves more and more!  It is so fun to feel him.  I love when I can feel a body part (a foot or knee, I'm guessing) and I gently press then he will either move or press back.  It's funny because I am constantly making Nick put his hand on my belly to feel him move and it always seems that as soon as Dad's hand is there he doesn't move.  However, the other night he did have what felt like hiccups for the first time and Nick and I could both feel them.  Nick tried talk with him and make the hiccups stop but it didn't work.  It seems like he has found his comfortable spot on my upper right side.  Lately, I have felt him on my left side and then completely roll across to the right side.  It is such a cool feeling, a little weird but mainly cool!  I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and everything still looks good!  I am measuring right on with 34 weeks, his heart beat was 145,  and from what I read he weights about 5 pounds.  The only down side is that the increasing heat is starting to get to me and my feet are swollen by the end of the day.  I am trying to keep them elevated as much as possible while still trying to go on a few walks a week.  It is official, I hit 30 pounds which I was not expecting but as long as he is healthy it all worth it.  I hope he enjoys walks after he is born because we will hopefully be going on many of them!

Colten's Performance

May 28th:

Tonight I met my mom at the Olive Garden in Nampa for a super nice dinner date!  Then we headed to Caldwell for Colten's performance.  His class sang two songs and Colten was happy as could be because he was standing next to his best bud, Riley.  It was hilarious to watch the two of them as they giggled through the performance.
At the end of the performance these two silly boys decided it would be funny to spank their own bottoms.  Brent and Jennifer were not impressed, in fact I think Brent turned three shades of red!  It was obvious that these two boys could be pretty mischievous together!

Nick leaving for Powell

May 23rd:

Yes, Nick is going to Lake Powell!  He had some vacation time that he needed to use before summer, so him and Austin packed up for the 13 hour drive to Page, Arizona to take spend a week on the Shennadoah II.  The guys plan on making this a relaxing fishing trip.  Hopefully, Nick will take pictures and everything will run smoothly for him.  He deserves a vacation!

Audrianna's Last Game

May 22nd:

Audrianna had her last softball game in Nampa tonight.  It was supposed to be cold and windy but ended up being pretty nice.  Audrianna did good and still cheered her heart out the whole game!

Ross's Graduation!

May 18th:

Ross graduated from Boise State with his bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice.  I am so proud of him for this huge accomplishment!  He graduated with cum laude honors (3.5 - 3.75 GPA).  The BSU class of 2013 set another university record with about 1,500 graduates participating in the ceremony and over 2,200 total students eligible for degrees. Nick and I attended the commencement along with my parents and my Aunt Janene, it was great to be a part of the experience.  It reminded what a big deal college graduation is and it made me think about all the hard work that Ross has put in over the years.  He has done such an amazing job, going to school full-time, working, and raising Hannah.  The ceremony lasted about two and half hours and sounds long but really wasn't bad.  We met Ross outside to congratulate him and take some pictures.
Afterwards, we headed back to our house for a little celebration and lunch from On the Border!  After eating everyone sat around and visited for the afternoon.  Nick showed our videos of Ross receiving his diploma on our television and the kids ran around playing.  It was a good afternoon!

Mother's Day

May 12th:

Mother's Day started out with brunch at our house!  We enjoyed ham, eggs, hash browns, muffins, fruit, and OJ.  It was a beautiful morning!  After eating, Nick hooked up our video camera to the TV so we could all watch Brittney's big soccer goal.  We hung out and visited, then open cards and presents.  My mom got me a wooden hanging flag for outside.  It will be a great reminder of my first Mother's Day!
Next, we all headed to the MK Nature Center to go on the nature walk and enjoy the hot day.  Colten was in heaven looking at all the fish.  I had never been inside the exhibit building which is worth seeing.
After, we headed to U-Swirl for ice cream!  It was a fun morning and afternoon!
Later, some of Nick's friends were in town for the Primus concert, so we had a little BBQ to end our day.
It was a good first Mother's day weekend but really the best part of my day has been sitting here watching my belly move and change shape as my little guy moves around.  It is the coolest feeling and amazing to not only feel him but see him move too!

Early Mother's Day

May 11th:

Today, we celebrated an early Mother's Day!  Nick offered to make me breakfast in bed but I choose a simple bowl of cereal instead.  We decided to ride bikes (I get the electric scooter) down to the Eagle Saturday Market.  I was a little worried that it would be too much for Audrianna, considering it is 3 miles each way, but Nick said she would be fine.  We left our house around 11:00 am and by the time we reached downtown it was pretty hot, almost 90 degrees.  We had a great time walking around and looking at the booths.  Audrianna did struggle a little on the way home due to going up a big hill and the fact that her front tire was flat.  I was "happy as a clam" motoring along on the scooter and appreciate my family going to the market with me!

After getting home, Nick and Audrianna surprised me with a some gifts and cards.  Audrianna definitely got her Dad's sensitive side because she always tears up when I read her cards out loud.  It is sweet how much thought she puts into them!  I love my new cell phone case and screen protector! We completed our day by watching a movie and eating popcorn and candy.  It was a great day!

Hannah's Dance

May 9th:

Hannah has been taking dance classes through her daycare and today she had a dress rehearsal to get ready for her big dance performance.  I went to her daycare to help her try on her dance outfit and watch as the girls practiced.  Hannah was so pleased that I was there and gave me the biggest hug!  She loved her outfit and kept rubbing her belly and touching her tutu.  The instructor lead the girls through their warm-up and then the two dances that they will be performing.  She had a huge smile on her face the whole time.

Busy Weekend

May 4th -- May 5th:

Our weekend started out with a Saturday morning softball game in Kuna.  The weather was perfect!  We enjoyed the sunshine and watching Audrianna play!  She keeps improving and building confidence at hitting.
The rest of our afternoon consisted of running errands.  We search all over Boise for a chair/gilder for the baby's room but had no luck.  I am waiting for Babies R Us to re-open or considering ordering from Costco.  The miata got new spring/summer tires and I got to purchase my hanging flower baskets!  We had a terrible eating experience at Popeye's and will never eat there again!  We did stop by the Toyota dealership in hopes of one day owning a new truck but then came to our senses.

Sunday was outside project day.  Nick hooked up drip lines for all my flowers, fixed the mister system, and hung a sun shade on our patio.  My mom and Hannah came over with flowers for the front pots and helped me plant them.  It ended up being the hottest day so far at 90 degrees, so we all enjoyed a couple of popsicles in the afternoon.  Between, Nick and I, we did ended up running to Home Depot three different times but it was well worth finishing these projects!
