Newborn & Family Pictures

August 27th:

I am just getting around to posting Tyson's newborn pictures and our family shoot.  I found a photographer, Nicole, that I absolutely love!  My mom and I went to her house when Tyson was only 9 days old!  Wow, that seems like such a long time ago.  His skin was peeling really bad but you can't even notice in these pictures.  We did have a hard time keeping him asleep but thanks to Nicole's patience, we know have these adorable pictures to cherish!
We met back up with Nicole on August 3rd at Eagle Island to get these family pictures.  It was a beautiful evening and everything was going great until we came across a wasp's nest with some very angry wasps.  Nicole got stung on her shoulder and then Audrianna had one fly up her shirt and sting her on the side of her stomach.  She cried and just wanted to sit in the car but was a trooper and we finished getting our pictures.

6 weeks

August 26th:

How did the last six weeks go by sooooo fast!  It has been a crazy ride of ups and downs, worries and confidence.  I am starting to getting really sad about having to leave Tyson all day to go back to work.  It is almost a little depressing but I have to look at the bright side of being able to work with Anna and Jane! Tyson has grown so much!  We are officially in size one diapers and newborn clothes no longer fit.  He is getting a little more content with just hanging out in his bouncer or play mat.  He still smiles every time he has a full belly and while drifting off to sleep.  He still gets the hiccups a far amount and chokes while nursing.  I think his first official smile was sometime in the last week but I have a hard time knowing if its a "real" smile or just gas, either way it melts my heart!

Oregon Coast Trip

August 10th -- 17th:

Tyson and I headed to the Oregon Coast with my family for a week (Nick had to stay and work - boo).  I was really nervous how Tyson would do in the car, considering the night before he screamed all the way home from dinner at Dave & Busters.  To my surprise, Tyson did amazing!  My mom and I had to take turns sitting in the back and helping him take his pacifier.  Before this Tyson wasn't super good at sucking on the pacifier but by the end of the trip he was a pro.
Tyson was quite the hit with all his cousins!  I thought for sure he would get old to them but he didn't.  They were all great with him, however, Brittney was especially good.  She would just lay on the couch next to him and rub his belly.
We had really good weather the first couple days, so we had a fire on the beach and made smores.
Most of the mornings, I ended up on the couch with Tyson so that my mom could get some sleep.  The kids would gather around to look at Tyson.
We headed to the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport.  Tyson slept through most of it but I had to take a few pictures to show him what he missed.
One of the days, we headed to the Devil's Punch Bowl to feed the squirrels.  Hannah showed Tyson and I how to feed them peanuts.
Everyone in my family was such a big help with Tyson!  I owe a super big thanks to my mom and sister in law for all the times they held him, while I was getting ready!  By the end of the week even Uncle Brent and Uncle Ross were comfortable holding Tyson.

On the last day, we went to the beach and hung out.  The kids and Ross had fun building a sand castle.
I didn't really have any expectations of the trip but I am super glad that I decided to go!  Tyson and I had a great time!

First Bath!

August 5th:

Tyson's cord finally feel all the way off, so we were able to give him a real bath.  He liked the water at first but then decided he was done and kinda whimpered through the end.  It's nice to have a clean baby!

Tyson's 3 weeks old

August 5th:

Wow, I can't believe that Tyson is already three weeks old!  He still loves sucking on his hands and arms, and only takes the pacifier sometimes.  He is doing pretty good sleeping at night, he will have one long stretch about 4 to 5 hours, followed by some shorter ones 2 to 3 hours.  Tyson is still very particular where he will fall asleep during the day.  It seems he sleeps best when being held and often will wake up when I try to put him down but they said you can't spoil a newborn so I am enjoying my snuggle time with him! Sometimes when he is sleeping he will stretch his arms out and then with his fists make the motion that he is riding a motorcycle, it's pretty cute and amazing every time!
1st try for week picture!
2nd try after a bath!
