Tyson went to his first BSU tailgate and thanks to Anna, he was appropriately dressed for the occasion. The weather ended up being better than expected but I still had Tyson in fleece PJ's with a BSU jersey over the top. Audrianna enjoys all the activity booths in the front of the stadium, so her, myself, and Tyson walked over to check them out. I couldn't resist getting Tyson's picture with the cheerleaders! My mom came and picked Tyson up and then Nick, Audrianna, and I went into the game. Shortly after sitting down it started to rain but luckily we had blankets. The game was pretty slow and on ESPN so there were many time outs. Audrianna wanted to stay and watch the band before leaving at halftime.

New Truck!
September 26th:
Yes, we did it. . .we bought a new truck! Nick finally gets to drive the truck of his dreams. It's a 2014 Toyata Tundra, the Limited edition. It's super fancy and of course has all the electronic bells and whistles (Nick's favorite part). My favorite is the heated seats! It's super exciting to finally have a truck and another car that we can all travel as a family in.

Audrianna's 9th Birthday Party
September 21st:
We had another joint birthday party with Linnea and Robbie to celebrate Audrianna turning 9! Audrianna really wanted to have a "dolphin themed" swimming party at Robbie's Uncle's house, who has a great backyard for entertaining. Audrianna also had some big ideas, like a bounce house . . . which yes, she ended up getting. The weather was not as warm as it could have been, but the kids didn't seem to mind. They had a blast between the pool, trampoline, and bounce house. Everyone enjoyed hot dogs and hamburgers and visiting while the kids played. Audrianna did a great job reading her cards and acknowledging who the gift was from before tearing into the present. Last, we sang happy birthday and ate dolphin cupcakes! I can't believe Audrianna is already 9!

Airplane Ride
September 15th:
Dennis surprised Audrianna with an airplane ride for her up coming 9th birthday! The ride was in a Cessna Centurion six passenger plane. After doing some research, these planes were first made in 1957 and only produced until 1985. Little planes make me nervous but Nick didn't want to miss out on the opportunity so he went along too.
Their flight path flew over Idaho City, Boise National Forest, The Sawtooth Mountains, Red Fish Lake and landed on a private air strip at Sulphur Creek Ranch. Upon landed they enjoyed a yummy breakfast and then had time to look around the lodge.
Dennis surprised Audrianna with 9 candles and a singing birthday card!
Nick said it was such a neat experience! He was glad to share it with his dad and Audrianna.

Fun Saturday
September 14th:
We had a fun weekend with Audrianna and Tyson. We went to the "Community Days" event in Settlers park. Audrianna had fun in the bounce houses, bungee race, and the rock climbing wall. Tyson was a trooper hanging out in the stroller. For the first time, we used a toy across the handlebars of his car seat. It was so amazing to watch him first notice the bright colored toys, he was so interested and his eyes were completely fixed on them. The park was having complimentary hot dogs and drinks. I was so hungry that I ate one and to my surprise it wasn't too bad. I have been staying away from hot dogs for years but it was actually pretty tasty.
Later that day, we all went to Rob and Carrie's BBQ baby shower. It was a beautiful warm evening and a great time to spend with friends!Friday, September 13, 2013
First BSU home game
September 13th:
The Boise State Broncos will play their first home game this evening. None of us are able to go to the game but we sure dressed the part. Nick went to a concert with Ross, so Audrianna, Tyson and I are going to Fruitland to watch the game with my parents. I couldn't resist taking a couple of pictures of Audrianna and Tyson all ready to cheer for the broncos!

Back to Work
September 11th:
The day has come, I had to go back to work today. I couldn't have asked for a better morning for my first day back, everything went smooth and as planned. Nick and I both went to drop Tyson off; however, Nick had a harder time than I did . . . I love my sensitive husband. Tyson looked so big and grown up in his carseat, almost looks like he is waving bye!
My day at work went by super fast, especially having to pump twice. It was actually harder for me to pick Tyson up because I was sad that I didn't know exactly what he did all day. Suzanne said he did ok, but didn't sleep much and she thinks that he drinks more than 2 to 3 ounces in a bottle. I know it will take sometime for him to adjust and get on a schedule. It was so good to see Tyson and hold him! Now I know why working mommies cherish their evenings! I know eventually it will just be natural to drop him off at daycare, but right now I really don't want to tomorrow.

8 Weeks
September 10th:
Well, the day came . . . my little boy is 8 weeks old and I have to go back to work tomorrow. I looked back on pictures from the last 8 weeks and can't believe how much Tyson has changed! In fact, today he was sitting in one of his swings looking like such a big boy. I remember trying to put him in it a few weeks ago and his head wasn't strong enough to sit in it comfortably. He is regularly sleeping between 5 to 7 hours at night! Now, only if I would go to bed when he did! He found is hands on over the weekend while in Texas and in just two days is looking at them more and more. He will also interlock his fingers! He is starting to coo more and find his voice. His legs are starting to fill out and his thighs almost have rolls. He is still really expressive with his eyebrows and likes to scowl. He makes the cutest little frown before he gets really upset. When trying to talk with him, he will pucker his lips together and makes a "whoo" sound. He makes some pretty funny noises and breaths through his noise a lot. When he is hungry, he will play with his tongue by sucking on it. My favorite part of the day is unzipping his woombie and watching him stretch his arms! Also, during this time he will usually push out a poop and make some really funny faces while doing so and then when it finally comes out, he looks surprised, like "what just happened?" Smiles are becoming more and more regular, especially after waking up! In the morning as Daddy tells him goodbye for the day, he gives him the biggest smiles. Here, Tyson is stretching out of his woombie and smiling at Daddy!
I've been keeping up with the weekly pictures, the biggest challenge is getting him to sit up with out slouching or falling over.
Also, for my last day home, we played dress up! Tyson will probably hate this pictures some day but I had to take them. Muffy and Jeff handed down this Winnie the Poo outfit. It was the first outfit that Jeff purchased for Muffy when they found out that she was pregnant. I had fun taking these pictures (Tyson didn't so much!)
A patient from work made this white jacket and bonnet, so I also had to get a picture.Monday, September 9, 2013
Fort Worth, Texas
September 6th - 8th:
On Sunday morning, Tyson was so happy and loving interacting with Daddy. I was excited to capture this cute smile! In fact, this is his first genuine smiling picture . . . no just a gas or full belly smile.
After enjoying lunch with Dennis, Charlie, and Terri we headed back to the airport for our trip home. Once again, Tyson did amazing! All and all it was a very successful trip, Tyson is quite the traveler!
Tyson went on his first plane ride this weekend! We loaded up and headed to Texas for Nick's cousin, Tony's wedding. When we decided to travel with a newborn, we both underestimated how much planning and preparation there would be! It was a lot different than just traveling with the two of us! We did a great job being all ready the night before, considering that our flight took off at 7:10 am. It was a good thing that we were so prepared because my alarm was set too quiet and we slept through it! Nick woke up in a panic and we rushed around then raced out the door with just enough time to arrive at the airport on time. Going through security was a breeze and I was really worried about Tyson being fussy during the flight; however, he was awesome! In fact, I think he was loving flying because for 8 hours, he got to nurse and sleep, nurse and sleep, nurse and sleep while being held all day long! I was surprised that he slept through everything. We stopped in Denver, changed planes and then stopped in Amarillo but continued on the same aircraft to Dallas.
Once, we arrived in Dallas, we got our rental car and then drove an hour to Fort Worth. We met up with Dennis, Charlie, Terri, and Kevan at the famous, Joe T. Garcias Mexican restaurant. It was delicious! Then we headed back to Charlie and Terri's house to visit for the evening. We were both tired so we headed back to our hotel, the Quality Inn, which was actually pretty nice. However, they had ran out of pack and plays, so at 10:30 pm we switched rooms and got one with two queen beds. Tyson had a queen bed just for him!
On Saturday we didn't have any plans except for the wedding, so we took our time walking up and enjoying our happy baby. Tyson was so cute and smiling from ear to ear at Daddy!
We enjoyed the continental breakfast and then head to the American Airlines Museum near DFW airport. It was a great museum and cool to see some of the parts of an airplane close up! I got a picture of Nick and Tyson are next the turbine engine, and then Tyson and I standing by the small landing gear on the nose of the aircraft.
That evening we got dressed up and headed to the wedding. The weather was perfect and the wedding was beautiful. I wish I would have taken more pictures but I was a little occupied with Tyson. On Sunday morning, Tyson was so happy and loving interacting with Daddy. I was excited to capture this cute smile! In fact, this is his first genuine smiling picture . . . no just a gas or full belly smile.
