Easter Sunday

March 31st:

The Easter Bunny did it again . . . he left a jelly bean trail that started outside of Audrianna's bedroom and lead her downstairs, then around the couch to her Easter basket!  She was pretty excited because the bunny totally spoiled her this year.  After looking through her basket, she searched the house for plastic eggs that were filled with more jelly beans and money!
Next, we celebrated with a super yummy brunch, consisting of scrambled eggs, honey-baked ham, berries, cinnamon rolls, and orange juice! It was a great way to start our day!
Before heading out of the house, we took a few family pictures!
We met my family at Woodriver Cellars for a nice Easter afternoon.  It was our first time going on Easter and I was surprised at the big turn out of people.  The weather was absolutely beautiful!  The kids had fun in the bounce house, running around, getting their faces painted and collecting eggs during the egg hunt.
The girls were the first in line to get their faces painted.  Audrianna was a little disappointed in hers, I don't think she was excepting her whole face to be painted.  We ended up washing half of it off and she liked it better.  I thought these two bunnies look adorable!

Dying Eggs & Easter Extravaganza

March 30th:

While waiting for Ross and Hannah to come over to dye eggs, Nick and Audrianna played catch in the backyard.  There was a small amount of tears shed when a ground ball hit Audrianna in right the shin but she quickly shook them off and keep practicing.  She is getting better every day!
Once Ross and Hannah arrived, the girls helped me mix up a pink lemonade cake to celebrate the weekend.
Then, the egg dying began!  MB and I had both purchased egg dying kits so the girls had many colors to chose from.  Audrianna kept wanting to do multi-colored eggs but was not patient enough to wait!  With help from both Dad's and MB, the girls got all their eggs colored.

MB had found these little chickens to make out of the dyed eggs.  They were a hit with the girls turned really cute!
After dying eggs, we headed to Eagle Nazarene for their annual Extravaganza celebration.  It has turned into a big event with about 10 bounce houses, face painting, balloons, pony rides, train rides, free hot dogs and of course an egg hunt!  The girls had a blast playing the bounce houses!  We ran into Jane and Anna but didn't get to visit long because the girls were busy running from one bounce house to another, the face painting, and the balloon station.  The weather was perfect, sunny and almost 70 degrees!
Audrianna was really determined during the egg hunt and filled up her entire basket.  She even got some grass stains on her knees during the madness.  She was pretty proud of herself!
Once, we came home the girls were not done hunting eggs, so I convinced the Dads to hide some eggs in our backyard.
It was such a beautiful and calm evening that we ended up hanging out in the backyard.  Nick quickly noticed that the horses kept sticking their heads over the fence.  I grabbed some carrots, and Nick and Audrianna had fun feeding the horses!  Nick even added more carrots to our shopping list.
Last, we celebrated our day with a piece of the pink lemonade cake that the girls sprinkled!  It was a good Saturday!

Texas Road House

March 29th:

MB came to town for Easter weekend, which means dinner with Chrissy at the Texas Road House.  Like usual, it was a crowed Friday night but once we got settled and had some yummy rolls with honey butter we were all happy.  Audrianna and MB had spent the day shopping and running around Boise.  Audrianna had fun getting her makeup at Mac in the mall.  We had a tasty dinner and Chrissy enjoyed his rib eye steak!

Registering at Babies R Us

March 24th:

We registered at Babies R Us today.  I was very excited but quickly ran out of steam and ended up with a headache.  It was pretty overwhelming (especially the bottles and pacifiers) but I think we picked out some good and hopefully useful baby items.  Nick was such a good sport (thanks to the energy drink) and it was nice to have him be in charge of the scanning gun.

The "Honey Do" List

March 23rd:

We had a Saturday day full of projects around the house.  It started with our annual conference call for the houseboat that lasted about an hour.  Here is Nick waiting patiently to join the call.
Next, our baby furniture was delivered!  I was so excited!  But, felt bad for the two delivery guys that had to haul the super heavy furniture up our stairs.  After they left, Nick and I put together the crib!  It was super easy and I absolutely love the furniture set.  Thanks to Nick for letting me get the expensive set and thanks to my Mom for helping me shop and purchasing the crib!
Next, we made our way outside to finally pull out the dying rose bushes!  It was actually a really easy project and kinda fun!  Inside, I made Nick hang a few more pictures and hooks.  I think, I am almost done hanging stuff.
After our long day of working we decided to use our gift card to the Russian Bear in Eagle. This was our second time there and we had a great dinning experience.  The restaurant was very comfortable and had live piano music playing!  I didn't love my choice for dinner and wanted to ask for ketchup for my meat but decided against it.  I didn't want to offend the owner, he was very passionate about his restaurant.
Random, but on the way home we stopped by the liquor store (again not for me).  Nick splurged and purchased a very large bottle of Patron.  Here he is holding his baby!

Mellow Thursday

March 21st:

Nick had an important dinner meeting to attend, so Audrianna and I had mellow Thursday evening.  We started out by doing her homework and then she wanted to show me her typing skills on a website that she uses at school.  I am impressed that she is learning to type so young.  She always amazes me!  We had a good dinner and then it was time to take Audrianna back to her mom's house.

Brittney's 7th Birthday

March 17th:

I can not believe that little Miss Brittney is already turning seven!  She choose to have her birthday party at the Roller Drome in Nampa, even though she has never been roller skating or roller blading before.  In fact, I think that Audrianna was the only kid who had some experience and brought her own rollerblades.  All the kids were so excited to try skating!  Brittney and Abby did awesome for their first time and wanted to keep going around and around the rink!  Brittney fell multiple times but seemed to be having a blast.  Hannah and Colten on the other hand, got bored really fast and didn't have fun until they traded in the roller skates for trainer skates.  Audrianna had a blast and even joined a competitive race!  I was so proud of her and her confidence to get out there and try!  It was so fun to watch all the kids.  Brittney's birthday was a hit!

Last Ski Day

March 16th:

Golf lessons in the morning and skiing in the afternoon. Nick and Audrianna decided to take advantage of the little snow that was left on the mountains and headed up to Bogus for the afternoon.  Audrianna took her last ski lesson and is showing an interest in being on a ski team next year!  Nick says that she continues to improve each time they go skiing.  I am glad that Nick and Audrianna had such a great last ski day!
Of course, skiing wouldn't be complete without a soak in the hot tub!
