While waiting for Ross and Hannah to come over to dye eggs, Nick and Audrianna played catch in the backyard. There was a small amount of tears shed when a ground ball hit Audrianna in right the shin but she quickly shook them off and keep practicing. She is getting better every day!
Once Ross and Hannah arrived, the girls helped me mix up a pink lemonade cake to celebrate the weekend.
Then, the egg dying began! MB and I had both purchased egg dying kits so the girls had many colors to chose from. Audrianna kept wanting to do multi-colored eggs but was not patient enough to wait! With help from both Dad's and MB, the girls got all their eggs colored.
MB had found these little chickens to make out of the dyed eggs. They were a hit with the girls turned really cute!
After dying eggs, we headed to Eagle Nazarene for their annual Extravaganza celebration. It has turned into a big event with about 10 bounce houses, face painting, balloons, pony rides, train rides, free hot dogs and of course an egg hunt! The girls had a blast playing the bounce houses! We ran into Jane and Anna but didn't get to visit long because the girls were busy running from one bounce house to another, the face painting, and the balloon station. The weather was perfect, sunny and almost 70 degrees!
Audrianna was really determined during the egg hunt and filled up her entire basket. She even got some grass stains on her knees during the madness. She was pretty proud of herself!
Once, we came home the girls were not done hunting eggs, so I convinced the Dads to hide some eggs in our backyard.
It was such a beautiful and calm evening that we ended up hanging out in the backyard. Nick quickly noticed that the horses kept sticking their heads over the fence. I grabbed some carrots, and Nick and Audrianna had fun feeding the horses! Nick even added more carrots to our shopping list.
Last, we celebrated our day with a piece of the pink lemonade cake that the girls sprinkled! It was a good Saturday!
